Pacquiao Vs Margarita Fight 2010

November 13, 2010, this Saturday at the Cowboys Stadium in Texas is the fight of all fights and the night of all nights as Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarita will fight against each other for the vacant WBC Light Middleweight title. They will make yet another boxing history as Manny Pacquiao will fight for his 8th title, hoping to take away Antonio Margarita’s chance to win the title and gain redemption. The Pacquiao vs. Margarita fight will give us entertainment as Pacquiao, one of the most celebrated athlete in our time, faces another bigger opponent on the ring as he fights for another division.

Style

Pacquiao greatest assets are his fists not to mention its quickness that can target and blow up a face with one combination which has proven in his previous fights to be destructive. His left punch is a dynamite weapon while his right can do the same damage as well. His control during the fight using his feet and his natural habitat in the ring has made this Filipino southpaw very hard to defeat. Standing at 5’6″ with a 67 inch reach and with a weight if 150 pounds he is still very small for a welterweight even for a junior middleweight. Margarita on the other hand, known to be a slugger, takes the fists of his opponent only to unleash his warrior-side. He doesn’t take chances as he throws a lot punches not just on the face but also to the body as well. His greatest weapon is his left hook which has proven to be cause damage to the body. He is a passionate fighter who gives his best on the ring and finishes the task with great enthusiasm. Despite his loss to Mosley, he has remained steadfast. Standing at 5’11″ with a 73 inch, his size will always remain an advantage against Pacquiao.

Profile

Critics find it difficult to look for loopholes in Pacquiao recent matches. When he lost to Morales back in 1999 marked the last memory of him ever defeated. As he ascended to higher weight class divisions from David Diaz on 2008 to Joshua Clotty last year, he has become a better fighter and more difficult to knock down. He was able to step up in his career when most of the top fighters in boxing were going down. Margarita was doing quite well before his fight with Shane Mosley. His big win over Miguel Cotton gave him a seat on top of boxing. His career was in good form when the unexpected encounter with Shane Mosley which showed imminent disaster attached to his name. The loaded gloves issue placed his career under intense scrutiny. He made a modest comeback in Mexico which was his first win in the past two years.

Teaching the Triple Threat Position in Basketball

I watch a lot of basketball and I love watching players do things the correct way. I love watching a good chest pass that hits the target quickly. I love watching great form on a shot. I love watching players in the post use good footwork to get shots off and I love it when players, especially young players, use the triple threat position.

For those that aren’t familiar with what the triple threat position is, it is when a player is ready to drive, pass or shoot the ball. It’s important because when players use it each time they catch the ball, they make the defense work harder and they proactively create scoring opportunities. When they are in the triple threat position they are immediately ready to attack whatever defensive strategy is being used on them. It allows you to be proactive on offense rather than reactive.

Many players today know what the triple threat position is but not every coach teaches it effectively so let’s talk about that. Anybody can go out there and get in position but not everybody can execute it correctly and be successful. In order for the triple threat position to be completely effective you must sell to the defense that you truly are in a position to pass, shoot or drive. If you get in the position half-heartedly or in a way where you don’t effectively sell it, it’s easy for the defense to expose it.

One of the key things to remember is that part of what makes the triple threat position so effective is that it keeps the defense guessing. They are limited in how they can defend you if they really believe that you could pass, shoot or drive when you have the ball. If you get lazy when you catch the ball and don’t get in the triple threat position you are letting the defense rest and taking away options for you and your offense to score. If when you catch the ball, you immediately put it over your head and examine the floor, it’s easy for the defense to know right away that you aren’t going to shoot it or drive to the basket. They know right away that all they have to do is shut down the passing lanes and they’ve stopped you.

Fix My Serve

The tennis serve is the most frustrating stroke in tennis to learn and it can be very embarrassing when you lose vital points due to a sloppy serve in ANY of your games. Why do you need to learn how to serve in tennis properly? Well as I mentioned you will end up losing points in your games and these points could be vital (some may even be match deciders!). What you are looking to do is create a serve that is so consistent, powerful and accurate that it will have your opponent under vast amounts of press and frustration from running around the court trying to return the ball. Serves like this will put opponents into defense and have them afraid of your serve! If you ever wonder “how do I fix my serve?” then just read the following 3 tips that will have you a threat from the service line!

When Serving Toss the Ball out More

What does this mean? When you serve you want to imagine a small box that is slightly in front of you. This is where you should aim the ball to drop if you miss your serve. The reason for this is that you will add more power by making your body lean into your stroke.

Use the Continental Grip

The Continental (otherwise known as the chopper grip for its axe like resemblance) is a grip that is used mainly for serves and volleys and is more efficient than the eastern forehand which many beginners use as it is more natural to use.

Have Fun When Practicing

Many people just practice the serve over and over again which can get boring (and cause repetitive strain injuries) and also frustrating if you make no progress. What I found works is using tennis drills that let you have fun and also teach you the method and how it would be under pressure to stop you asking “How to fix my serve”.

Pool Cue Cases Provide Protection to Your Striking Weapons

Pool cues are essential billiard supplies every billiard enthusiasts must have. These items are the main weapons used to strike the targeted pool balls to get them deposited into the pockets. Players can rent or make use of available cues that can be found in the racks of the pool halls. However, a common problem encountered is that the cues they have almost often show a lot of damage or cracks.

Billiard enthusiasts, therefore, find themselves investing in their own cues. Having their own personal weapon can give them a lot of confidence. It should be noted that when players use random cues they will have to make the necessary adjustments throughout the game. In a competition, this is something they are not supposed to do. They should use the pool cues they have been practicing for a while so that their personal items will provide them a reliable shot each time. No more crucial adjustments that have to be performed during the game.

Because of the importance of the cues, they should be kept safe and secure at all times. Billiard players should make sure that their primary weapon will be kept in perfect condition at all times. A lot of players purchase very expensive cues. These billiard supplies shouldn’t be taken for granted. They should be safely ensconced in pool cue cases.

Pool cue cases will provide utmost protection to your valuable striking weapons. The cases will keep them from undergoing accidental breakage. When you just place the pool cues on the table or you just leaned them against the wall, they can roll over and acquire some cracks. Sometimes in your haste, you may not be able to see the sticks and you can end up tripping or stepping upon them to the point of breaking them apart. Bringing your pool cues to tournaments or competitions, the pool cue cases will make sure they don’t get snag in the doorways or get some unsightly scratches. Moreover, they wouldn’t be easily stolen by thieves in the packed competition area.
